Una part de l&#8217;aigua s&#8217;evapora refredant la resta, dissipant en aquesta evaporaci\u00f3 597 kcal per litre. Aix\u00ed es produeix aigua freda que es retorna a l&#8217;proc\u00e9s per absorbir m\u00e9s calor i iniciar de nou el cicle.<\/p>\n<p>Els equips que apliquen en el seu funcionament el principi de refrigeraci\u00f3 evaporativa tenen un paper fonamental en l&#8217;efici\u00e8ncia energ\u00e8tica dels processos industrials o climatitzaci\u00f3. La difer\u00e8ncia entre la temperatura de refredament de l&#8217;aigua i la temperatura de bulb humit de determinar la mida de la torre, com menor sigui la difer\u00e8ncia entre les dues, m\u00e9s gran superf\u00edcie d&#8217;intercanvi necessitar\u00edem. El l\u00edmit ha de ser com a m\u00ednim de 3 o 4 \u00baC.<\/p>\n<p>A les torres obertes hi ha un contacte directe aire-aigua de refrigeraci\u00f3, el qual s&#8217;amplifica gr\u00e0cies als farcits,
